Taste When tradition meets innovation

Taste is the name of the new family holding company recently founded by Jean-Jacques Westerlund. The main focus of the new company will be real estate and private equity investing. A third activity will be yacht chartering.

In 2008, the well-known Antwerp-based Westerlund Group was sold to Euroports, ending more than a century of the family’s involvement in marine terminal operations and logistics, with particular focus on the paper industry.

Taste incorporates the family’s interests in the real estate sector plus Jean-Jacques Westerlund’s own extensive experience in international business.

The company’s name is derived from the names of Mr. and Mrs. Westerlunds’ two children: Tanguy and Stephanie.

Three business groups have been established:
• Taste Plantin to invest in real estate
• Taste Invest to engage in private equity investing
• Taste Yachting to promote yacht charters and other similar ventures.
